Ledaig 13 Year Old is a single malt from Mull, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2021 by Whisky Sponge as Edition No.34. It was matured in a single bourbon hogshead and bottled at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 287 bottles produced.
Ledaig is the name now used for the heavily peated whisky made at Mull's only distillery.
The nose offers sandalwood, roasted coffee beans, petrichor and fried banana. On the palate there are salted lemons, grassy peat and a hint of walnut. The finish has sea salt and cracked black pepper crisps, with a sweet touch of marzipan.
