Ledaig 6 Year Old is a peated single malt from Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, distilled in 2020 and selected by Signatory Vintage for its 100 Proof Edition, number 76. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.1%, without colouring or chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle.
It matured for six years in a combination of refill oloroso sherry hogsheads and refill bourbon barrels.
The nose is bold coastal smoke, briny peat and fresh citrus, with vanilla and dried fruit. The palate is powerful and full-bodied, with peaty smoke, sea salt, citrus peel, spice, charred oak and a gentle sweetness. The finish is long and maritime, with smoke, salt and spice fading to dry oak and citrus.
