This is Ledaig Peated Malt, a single malt from the Island of Mull in a 70cl bottle at 46.3%. It is an older release, from the early 2000s. Ledaig is the peated malt from the Tobermory distillery, the only whisky distillery on Mull. Peated and unpeated spirit were once used for both Ledaig and Tobermory, but today Ledaig is made purely from peated malt, and heavily peated at that. The name comes from the distillery's original name, and its history goes back to 1798, when John Sinclair established it on the island.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
