Ledaig Sinclair Series Rioja Cask Finish (70cl)

This is a Ledaig single malt finished in Rioja casks, in a 70cl bottle. It is the first release in the Sinclair Series, which honours the distillery's founder, John Sinclair. The nose has Turkish delight and rose petals with candied fruits, grapes, rich leather and peppery spice, and a hint of chocolate at the back. The palate is creamy, with almonds, barley and sweet malt, then black raspberries, sweet vanilla and cocoa, with cinnamon and freshly cut grass. The finish is smoky and lingering, with red fruit and sea spray.
