Leopold Bros – Three Chamber Rye 2022 Release

Three Chamber Rye is made by Leopold Bros using a Three Chamber Still rebuilt from old manuscripts and Abruzzi rye, a heritage grain favoured by distillers before Prohibition. This is the 2022 summer release, bottled from a single barrel. Todd Leopold chose barrels at least five years old from the dunnage warehouse. Each bottle carries its barrel number and the date the barrel was filled. The nose is rich with peanut shell, maple syrup, cocoa nibs and hazelnut, with plum, cherry, apricot and orange marmalade behind. The finish is floral, with lavender, rose, elderflower and chamomile.
