Lasdoux Original is a French single malt from Lhéraud, a family of wine growers and cognac distillers at Domaine de Lasdoux in Angeac-Charente, working there since 1785.
The malted barley is distilled in the same Charentais stills that produce the house cognacs. The spirit then spends four years in American oak before being bottled at 45% ABV.
The nose is complex, with vanilla, caramel, soft spice and a hint of smoke. The palate is smooth, with dried fruit, soft spice and light smoke, and the finish is long.
