Líber – Spanish Single Malt Whisky 10 Year Old Single Cask 39 (60.4%)

A Spanish single malt from Líber, a small craft distillery in Andalusia near Granada. It was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2021 at ten years old and 60.4% ABV, with 200 bottles filled. The whisky was fully matured in an old first fill Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, with no finishing. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The distillery uses water from the Sierra Nevada and fermentations of up to 96 hours, and the microclimate in Padul keeps the angels' share to around 4%. The Caskhound selected it as an exclusive cask strength bottling for Germany.
