Liber The Great Sherry Cask Xperience Chapter 2 PX Quarter Cask Finish 5 Year Old - The Caskhound (56.5%)

A five-year-old Spanish single malt from the Liber distillery, distilled in 2016 and bottled by The Caskhound in 2022 as Chapter 2 of The Great Sherry Cask Xperience. It comes from cask number 26, with 268 bottles filled, at 56.5% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The four-year-old malt was filled into a 140-litre Pedro Ximenez quarter cask for a finish of at least a year. The smaller cask brings the spirit into closer contact with the wood. The series is a collaboration between The Caskhound and the cask specialists at Casknolia, who prepared six quarter casks that had each held a different sherry.
