Liber The Great Sherry Cask Xperience Chapter 3 Pajarete Finish 5 Year Old - The Caskhound (53.6%)

A five-year-old Spanish single malt from the Liber distillery, bottled by The Caskhound in 2022 as Chapter 3 of The Great Sherry Cask Xperience. It was distilled in 2016 and is bottled at 53.6% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Only 263 bottles were filled. The malt first spent four years in two large Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, each about 30 years old. It then had a 16-month finish in a first fill Pajarete seasoned quarter cask. The series is a collaboration between The Caskhound, the Spanish Whisky Club and the cask specialists at Casknolia, who divided the malt among six quarter casks that had held different sherries.
