This is a single malt from Lindores Abbey Distillery, matured in Australian red wine casks and bottled at 61.7% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded only a few years ago, yet it has the longest known history of any Scottish distillery.
The palate is friendly despite the strength, with roses and lilies, cinnamon wax, plenty of yellow fruit and freshly ground pepper. Adding water brings the spices forward.
