Lindores Abbey – Limited Edition Bourbon Cask (Bottled 2021) (70cl, 49.4%)

Lindores Abbey Limited Edition Bourbon Cask is a single malt from the Fife distillery, bottled in 2021 at 49.4% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks. The distillery stands on the site where Friar John Cor made the first recorded aqua vitae in 1494, the earliest written evidence of whisky production in Scotland, and it uses water from the abbey's own well. The nose is sweet vanilla custard, orchard fruit, gentle oak spice and honey. The palate brings caramel, vanilla pod, sweet cereal and light citrus. The finish is medium to long, with sweet spice, oak and a hint of dried fruit.
