Lindores Abbey – Nectere (70cl, 47.2%)

Nectere is a single malt from Lindores Abbey in Fife, bottled at 47.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's first fully sherry-matured core range release in over two years. The whisky was matured only in Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado and Palo Cortado casks. Its name comes from the Latin conectere, meaning to connect, and refers to the meeting of whisky and sherry-making traditions and to the abbey's link with the earliest recorded Scotch whisky production in 1494. It is natural colour and non-chill filtered. Each sherry style adds to a profile of fruit, spice, nuttiness and depth.
