Lindores Abbey – Single Cask 2018 (Cask #2018/0382) (70cl, 54.3%)

This is a single cask Lowland single malt from Lindores Abbey in Fife, bottled at a cask strength of 54.3% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery stands on the site of the first recorded whisky distillation in Scotland, in 1494. The whisky was matured in a single bourbon cask, numbered 2018/0382, and bottled without chill-filtration. In the glass, expect vanilla, orchard fruits and honeycomb on the nose. The palate brings butterscotch, baked apple, cinnamon and nutmeg with a little citrus zest and malty sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with oak spice, dried fruit and chocolate-covered ginger.
