Lindores Lowland Single Malt MCDXCIV (70cl, 46%)

Lindores Single Malt comes from Lindores Abbey Distillery in the Lowlands and is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Aqua vitae was distilled at the abbey as early as 1494, and whisky began to flow from the stills again in 2017, after more than 500 years. The label carries the Roman numerals MCDXCIV. This bottling was matured in ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and ex-wine casks. The stills are unique and the fermentation is extra long. The nose is elegant, with apple, pear, plum, honey, vanilla and coconut. The palate is creamy, with dried fruit, young fruit, citrus and oak. The finish stresses oak, lime and spice.
