The Casks of Lindores II is a single malt from Lindores Abbey Distillery in Fife, matured exclusively in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for over three years. It is a limited edition, bottled at the distillery at 49.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is mellow and fruity, with red apples and pears, sweet vanilla, butterscotch, custard and touches of citrus. The palate brings vanilla and orchard fruits such as green cooking apples, with citric pith and a hint of bitterness, covered by oaky notes and spicy, peppery touches.
