Linkwood – 17 Year Old The Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing) (70cl, 50%)

This is a 17 year old Linkwood from Speyside, bottled by Hunter Laing as a single cask in its Old Malt Cask range. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV. The whisky was distilled in July 2006 and matured in a refill hogshead until it was bottled in March 2024, yielding 313 bottles. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered. The tasting notes describe marzipan, sweet oranges and honey on the nose, with tropical fruit, sweet citrus and crème brûlée on the palate. The finish is long, sweet and spicy.
