This is a 13 year old Linkwood single malt in The Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Casks range. It was made from a batch of three ex-Bourbon hogsheads, distilled in 2008 and aged for more than 13 years.
It is a fruity whisky with touches of citrus zest. The nose offers Granny Smith apples, Williams pears, beeswax and a slight dry white wine note, followed by cut grass, passionfruit and coconut. On the palate there are stewed pears, passionfruit, caramel sauce and lemon zest. The finish is balanced in length and intensity, with tropical fruit and citrus lingering.
