This is a 12 year old Linkwood from 2008, bottled in 2020 by Wilson & Morgan at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a Speyside single malt given a short finish in a fresh Pedro Ximenez cask.
The finish lasted just 10 months, chosen to add delicate fragrance without making the whisky heavy or fruity. It stays light-bodied and agile, with the sweetness of the Spanish wine clearly present.
The nose shows raisiny, winey notes and a touch of honey. On the palate there are oranges, red apples, berries and peaches.
