This is an 8 year old Speyside single malt from Linkwood, distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2026 by Murray McDavid for its Cask Partnership Series. The last three years were spent in barriques from the Madeira producer Justino's. It is bottled at a cask strength of 55.2% in an edition of 1,228 bottles, without colouring or chill-filtration.
The Madeira finish brings out a tropical, fruity side alongside nutty sweetness.
The nose offers ripe tropical fruit, creamy toffee and toasted almonds. The palate is powerful and juicy, with light and tropical fruit, soft vanilla and gentle spice. The long finish combines dark chocolate, lingering sweetness and a slightly bitter edge.
