This is a 25 year old Linkwood from Gordon & MacPhail, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It departs from the first-fill sherry butt editions the bottler is known for, with less sherry influence and more of the distillery's own character.
The style is restrained, with zesty, floral freshness. Red fruits, blackcurrants and cherries sit alongside malted barley and pastry on shortbread. Coffee, honey and some rancio follow, with a hint of passion fruit.
