Linkwood – 26 Year Old 1984 The Whiskyman Eleanor Whisky (70cl, 49.2%)

This is a Linkwood single malt distilled in 1984 and bottled in 2011 at 26 years old, at 49.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is the Eleanor Whisky bottling, one of the first for The Whiskyman of Belgium. Only 88 bottles were filled. The nose is light mead and honey, dandelions, mint liqueur, orange blossom, earth and fresh mushrooms. On the palate honey, spearmint, Grand Marnier and dried lychee come through, with the oak noticeable. The finish is long, with more orange.
