This Littlemill was distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2023 by La Maison du Whisky at 53.1%. It comes from a single hogshead, number 29, which gave 238 bottles. It is Artist #13, part of the New Vibrations collection of whiskies over thirty years old, with labels by the Taiwanese artist Wang Yung Chiu. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose opens with vanilla and lemon, then lily of the valley, coconut, pineapple, banana and cardamom. The palate is full, with passion fruit, lychee and melon, then saffron, hay and toffee. The finish is long and keeps its tropical fruit, with roasted tobacco, liquorice, walnut and a malty, chocolatey bitterness.
