This Littlemill was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 49.8%. It is the first edition of The Dutch Trilogy, a project in which a single cask selected by the Dutch importer De Monnik Dranken is bottled in three stages. The whisky matured first in a refill bourbon barrel, then moved in early 2015 to a first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead for a second maturation. It is non-chill-filtered, with no added colouring, and 60 bottles were released.
Full and rich, with the Oloroso influence clear, it shows spices, tropical fruit, fudge, black pepper and cacao. The finish is very long and revisits most of the palate's aromas.
