Living Souls Blended Scotch 40 Year Old (70cl, 41.2%)

This is a 40 year old blended Scotch whisky from Living Souls. It was laid down in a refill sherry butt in 1998 and bottled in 2024 at its natural cask strength of 41.2% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The blend contains 40% malt whisky, including distillates from Glenfarclas, Glen Garioch, Fettercairn and Blair Athol, and 25% grain whisky from the closed Cambus distillery. The nose offers exotic fruit such as pineapple and orange, with earthy notes and a hint of smoke. The palate carries on in the same vein, with fruit blending into earthy, smoky shades, and the finish is long and balanced.
