Lochlea – Fallow Edition 2nd Crop Sherry Cask (46%)

Lochlea Fallow Edition, 2nd Crop is a single malt matured in sherry casks and bottled at 46% in a limited edition. It comes from Lochlea, an independent, family-run farm distillery. Lochlea is one of only four Scottish distilleries that use barley grown solely on their own land, and it distils and matures its whisky on site. John Campbell, formerly distillery manager at Laphroaig, is production director and master blender. The nose has ripe red fruit and freshly baked banana bread. On the palate come dried fruit, leathery notes and malty pastry with a sherry sweetness. The finish is of pleasant length, with a hint of aniseed and floral rose petals.
