First Crop is a Harvest Edition single malt from Lochlea, a farm distillery in the Lowlands. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, from first-fill bourbon casks and an Oloroso sherry butt. Lochlea is independent and family-run. It is one of only four distilleries in Scotland that grow all their own barley, and it distils and matures on site, which keeps the whisky traceable from field to bottle. John Campbell, who previously managed Laphroaig distillery, is Lochlea's production director and master blender.
