Our Barley is the first core expression from Lochlea Distillery, shaped by Production Director John Campbell. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, and is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky matures in first-fill Bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry casks and STR barriques.
The nose offers pear syrup, fruit bonbons, warm cut grass and marmalade. On the palate there are golden syrup, pepper, rye bread, macadamia nuts and cream soda. The finish is long, with a lasting orange beeswax note.
