Lochlea – Ploughing Edition Second Crop (70cl, 46%)

Lochlea Ploughing Edition Second Crop is a limited seasonal release from Lochlea, inspired by winter on the farm, when the fields are ploughed ready for spring sowing. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The whisky is matured entirely in ex-Islay barrels, giving a fruity, sweet character with a little kick of peat. Cereal notes and fresh green apple lead on the nose. The palate moves to freshly cut summer hay and juicy fruit, and the finish carries a hint of sea salt and lingering peaty embers, like the remains of a beach bonfire.
