Lochlea Ploughing Edition (Third Crop) is the final release in the distillery's seasonal limited edition series. This Lowland single malt was matured in ex-Islay barrels and is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The peated casks and extra maturation give it a rich, smoky character.
The nose is fresh green apple, sweet toffee and cereal. The palate is fruity, with savoury smoke and malted biscuits, and the finish brings coastal sea salt and a lingering hint of peat.
