Lochlea – Sowing Edition, Third Crop (70cl, 46%)

Lochlea Sowing Edition, Third Crop is a Lowland single malt Scotch bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The whisky was matured entirely in first-fill bourbon barrels, and the casks are nine months older than those used for the second crop. It shows the floral aromatics associated with distilling in winter. The nose offers almonds, rose petals and a hint of white pepper. On the palate come apple blossom, crisp pear and a touch of white pepper, and the finish is freshly cut grass and warm hay.
