A 15 year old Longmorn single malt from the 1980s, in a one litre bottle at 43% ABV. It was most likely produced for duty free in the mid to late 1980s, and the colour is gold.
The nose is full of tropical and green fruit: papaya, mango, guava, melon, banana, star fruit and pineapple, with blood orange, crystallised lemon peel, light wax and fresh hay. The palate is fruity again, with honey, malted barley, toasted cereals, pumpkin seeds, olive oil, a hint of chalk and warm baked bread.
The finish is long and earthy, with tropical fruit, a faint waxiness and lemony, mineral notes.
