This is a 40 year old Speyside single malt from Longmorn, distilled in 1971 and bottled in 2011 by Gordon & Macphail.
In the glass it is gold. The nose is led by honey, oak spice and apples, and with water it opens towards lemongrass and passion fruit. The palate is fruit-driven, with orange, tangerine, mango and peach alongside beeswax and honey.
The finish is medium in length, citrusy and rather tropical, with honey cake lingering in the aftertaste.
