Longrow 21 Year Old is a heavily peated single malt from Springbank. This is the 2020 edition, the second release of the 21-year-old.
It was matured in a combination of sherry casks (95%) and bourbon casks (5%).
The nose is sweet and meaty, with glazed cherries, cured meats and stewed dark plum, along with medicinal peat and a note of orange peel. On the palate it is sweet, smoky and waxy, with caramel shortbread, marzipan, lemon zest and dried fruits. The finish is rich and plummy, with black forest gateau and bitter chocolate.
