This is a 21 year old peated single malt from Longrow, a Campbeltown name. It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, which gives it a fruity, spicy character.
The nose is rich and meaty, with toffee, salted popcorn, Iberico ham, beef jerky and honeydew melon. On the palate come dark forest fruits, prunes, creamy vanilla, amoretti biscuits and dried coconut, followed by herbal fennel, pine needles and spicy black pepper.
