This is a 25 year old single malt from Springbank, an annual release. The edition was bottled in March 2022, and 1300 bottles were filled.
The nose is sweet and delicate, with raspberry coulis, then a mustiness that recalls dunnage warehouses and bung cloth. On the palate it starts smooth and syrupy before opening into sultanas, bananas and Demerara sugar crystals.
The finish carries a coastal saltiness, with hints of barley water and grassy notes.
