Springbank 15 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is aged entirely in sherry casks, with Oloroso maturation behind its dark character.
The nose combines cured meat, beef jerky, clove, mint, iodine and tinned prunes, with a hint of lobster creels suggesting a maritime influence. The palate brings sooty kiln smoke, tobacco leaf, prunes, walnuts, figs, Demerara sugar and cocoa powder. The finish develops soot, leather and walnuts before easing away.
