Longrow Peated Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Longrow Peated is the core expression of the heavily peated, double-distilled Longrow style made at Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown. Longrow was first distilled in 1973, using malt dried over peat for up to 48 hours. This one was matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is smoky and savoury, with earthy peat, sea salt, orchard fruit, vanilla cream and charred driftwood. The palate is rich and oily, with smoked barley, peppered oak, brine, malt loaf and dried citrus. The finish is long and warming, with kiln smoke, sea spray and cracked black pepper.
