This is a peated single malt from Longrow, made at the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Longrow is known for its pronounced peat smoke, set alongside a rich, maritime character. Sweet malt, vanilla, citrus and spice keep the smoke in balance.
The nose is clearly peaty, with malt, vanilla, citrus and seaweed, and light wood and spice. The palate is full and strong, with peat smoke, sweet malt, vanilla and citrus, then pepper, light caramel and a salty note. The finish is long and warming, with smoke, pepper, malt and maritime spice.
