Louis Roederer Cristal 2000 is a vintage Champagne from the house of Louis Roederer, and the house's most famous wine.
It was created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II, who asked Louis Roederer to reserve its best cuvée for him each year. To set it apart, the champagne was sent in a flat-bottomed, transparent lead-crystal bottle. The name Cristal comes from that material, prized for its transparency and luminosity.
