This is a 1990s bottling of Louis XIII de Rémy Martin, a Cognac in the decanter format of its era. It is blended from up to 1,200 eaux-de-vie, each aged between 40 and 100 years and sourced from Grande Champagne, the Premier Cru of Cognac.
Louis XIII was created by Paul-Émile Rémy Martin in 1874. The oldest components in this decade's blend were aged through the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, in Limousin oak.
The nose is dried fruits, honey and floral notes. The palate is smooth and seamless, with figs, dates and warm spice. The finish is long and lingering.
