This is a 15-year-old Lowland single malt from a distillery that is not named, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2023 at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It was laid down in a small batch of five first fill ex-Bourbon barrels, and the use of wormtubs hints at its origins.
It is Parcel No.11 from Elixir.
The nose is floral, with honeysuckle, tarragon and rose petal water, plus sweet spice and custard creams. The palate is buttery, with lemon oil and black pepper on fresh Scottish strawberries. The finish brings buttermilk and a lick of spice.
