Lowrie's Reserve Thompson Bros. Blended Scotch Whisky (70cl, 45.7%)

Lowrie's Reserve is a small-batch blended Scotch whisky from Thompson Bros., bottled at 45.7% in a 70cl bottle. The blend draws on three hogsheads of well-aged, strongly sherried whisky, combined with two casks of 11-year-old Speyside whisky matured in bourbon casks. A Strathclyde distilled in 1994 and matured in a refill bourbon cask makes up 20.8% of the blend. The final addition, SRV5 from Vat 5, was previously matured in an Australian Shiraz wine cask that Campervan Brewery in Edinburgh had used for ageing beer. It is described as having notes of oak, orange, spice and toffee.
