This is an English single malt from Ludlow Distillery, made in the Welsh Marches from English and Scottish malted barley, lightly smoked over peat. It is triple-distilled and aged in second-fill casks that held American bourbon and Scottish whisky, then finished in a Pedro Ximenez sherry cask. It is a limited edition and won a Bronze Medal at the Great British Food Awards 2024.
Expect layers of dried fruit, honeyed malt, soft peat smoke and velvety sweetness from the sherry cask. It lingers with fig and dark chocolate, ending on toasted oak.
