Never Say Die Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 95 proof (47.5% ABV) in a 750ml bottle. It is distilled and aged in Kentucky for around five years, then shipped across the Atlantic to finish for at least another year at White Peak Distillery in Derbyshire, England, where it is bottled. The mashbill is 75 percent corn, 21 percent rye and 4 percent malted barley, matured in number 4 char American oak. Each batch is capped at 2,750 individually numbered bottles. The name belongs to the racehorse that won the 1954 Epsom Derby.
The nose has lemon peel, caramel and vanilla with baking spice and toasted oak. The palate is rye-forward, with pepper and warm spice against corn sweetness, and a faint saline edge. The finish is dry and oaky, closing on spice and vanilla.
