Mac-Talla PX is a limited edition Islay single malt Scotch whisky from Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, in a 70cl bottle at 52.8% ABV. It is non-chill filtered, with no added colour.
The whisky was matured in first-fill Pedro Ximenez sherry butts and refill PX hogsheads, which bring the sweetness of the sherry to Islay peat.
The nose has sticky dates, raisins and gentle peat. On the palate come dark dried fruit, treacle toffee and a thread of coastal brine, with spice underneath. The finish is long and rich, echoing raisins, dates and a little peat.
