A 15 year old single cask Macallan from 2008, bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 24.173, named Fine Oak. It comes in a 70cl bottle, and 258 bottles were produced. The whisky matured in a first fill oloroso butt, as Macallan usually does, and was then finished in a first fill bourbon cask, which adds emphasis to the oak. The nose opens with eucalyptus, menthol rolling tobacco and dried mint, then sandalwood, flower pollen and dried thyme. The palate is intense, with cocoa, dried chilli, toasted pine nuts, lemon balm and aged sweet wines.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
