This is a single cask Macallan from Speyside, bottled by Signatory Vintage at 18 years old and 58.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled on 11 July 2005 and bottled on 5 September 2023.
It matured in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt, and 666 bottles were filled from that cask.
The nose combines dark dried fruit and spicy oak, with citrus and roasted nuts behind. On the palate it is full and aromatic, with dried fruit, dark chocolate and spicy oak, plus a light peppery note. The finish is long, with dried fruit and oak lingering.
