Macallan – 18 Years Double Cask 2022 (70cl, 43%)

Macallan 18 Years Double Cask 2022 is a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matured for at least 18 years in sherry casks made from American and European oak. American oak brings forward vanilla, citrus and light oak notes, and the Spanish oak casks sit behind them with the rich fruit, sherry and firm wood of the traditional Macallan character. The nose offers dried fruit, ginger, toffee, orange, cloves and nutmeg. On the palate there are rich raisins, caramel, vanilla, ginger, wood and citrus, and the finish is warm wood and ginger, then sweet orange.
