Macallan – 18 Years Double Cask 2023 (70cl, 43%)

Macallan 18 Years Double Cask 2023 is a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matured for at least 18 years in sherry casks made from both American and European oak. The American oak brings vanilla, citrus and light oak notes to the front, while the Spanish oak casks add the rich fruit, sherry and firm wood of the traditional Macallan character. On the nose there are dried fruit, ginger, toffee, orange, cloves and nutmeg. The palate has rich raisins, caramel, vanilla, ginger, wood and citrus, and the finish is warm wood and ginger followed by sweet orange.
