This is a single malt from Macallan's 1824 Series, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. The whiskies in the series take their names from their colours, and Amber sits alongside Gold, Sienna and Ruby.
It matured in first-fill and refill sherry casks of Spanish and American oak, and was bottled without added colouring.
Tasting notes describe mild citrus with sweet vanilla and freshly harvested grain on the nose, then raisins, cinnamon and candyfloss. The palate has green apple and lime with cinnamon and ginger, and the finish is mild, with soft fruit and grain.
